MONK AT WORK - Creating Business People Love
![]()
We just got back from an amazing conference here in Chicago. SOBCon07, which was
spear-headed by someone we truly admire and have talked about here before, Liz Strauss.
We met so many great people, Personal Publishers, and learned about so many amazing blogs,
that over the next 6-8 weeks, we plan to introduce you to many of those people and their blogs,
passions and musings.
Our first featured introduction is ADAM KAYCE of MONK AT WORK. He is not officially a monk. But he has been exploring the inner side of life for over twenty years. In addition to years of Chinese internal martial arts training, teaching spiritual growth and intuition, and working with hundreds of people in personal development and healing,"I've been living the mystical life for over a decade while running my own business, so I know a thing or two about merging the spiritual with the worldly." - He is a great guy with a wonderful and inspirational blog - and it's brand new really, he's only been writing a few weeks! And since happiness at work is an important part of creating a life by design, we thought he was a logical choice for us to showcase.
"The journey to become a Monk at Work begins in your own heart. As you become clear on your heart's unique, intrinsic Message -- the natural contribution of your soul to the world -- you can begin aligning your business around the gifts you bring to the world through your work, the service you give to others, and the ways you relate with others that bring joy to everyone involved. Why?
- to feel a deep sense of purpose flowing through all that you do
- to capture the passion in your spirit and act on it everyday
- to give what you feel you are here to give, with certainty and joy
- to experience the peace and flow that comes from doing what you were meant to do
The more aligned your actions are with your natural sense of purpose, the more joyful and easy it is to bring yourself fully into your work, and that's going to create an ease, a comfort level between you and your patrons. You show up fully, allowing them to show up fully, and amazing bonds are made.
By developing your own sense of self, heart, and soul, you become clearer and more radiant. That radiance is the core of what attracts other people to you and your business.
Marry that with the development of your intuitive abilities, and the solid grounding of these inner pieces into the way you get things done in your work, and you create a foundation that organically attracts people to your business. People feel what you're up to, and want more.
From there, nurturing those relationships and deeply serving your patrons is the key to enduring, passionate, and caring relationships."
