Are You Living Life or Dieing ?

Yesterday was a crappy day!
I don't often say that, but it was one of the days that got off on the wrong foot, there was some low-level drama thrown on me, and it left me drained. That doesn't happen very often to me.
Before I went to bed, I got an email from someone. He's an acquaintance. We have only known him a short time. He lives about an hour away from us. He wrote and said he has had a lot of health challenges this past summer, that's why he has been out of touch. But he really wanted to see us this week, one last time.
I assume he has gotten some very bad news. Makes you stop and think....
what if I was diagnosed with a disease and was given only a few weeks to live.....
What would I do, that I haven't done yet?
Where would I want to go? What would I still want to see?
How do you say all your "good-byes"?
And even though Michael and I try really hard to live our lives to the fullest, some days, like yesterday, you forget. You forget that life is precious and it can be snapped away in a second - without warning. Just a few weeks ago I attended the funeral for a friend. She was 49. Died suddenly with no warning.
I found this on the Personal Development Blog..."So what can we do about this? Well, one thing we can do is to start paying more attention to how we lead our lives. Sit down and write a list of things you want to experience. If you knew you were going to die tomorrow what would you do today? What did you miss out on? Go and do it.Be a person others can lean on. Smile to everyone you meet and I can guarantee that you will gain many new friends as time passes. Friends and family are fuel for your engine. What would life be if you had to live it all alone? Sharing experiences is what life is all about.
Say 'no' when someone ask you to do something you don't want to do. It can be hard if you're not used to it. But if you do this one thing you will soon discover that people start to respect you more. Speak up when you have an opinion. People will listen to your opinions. The more you do it the more they will listen.
Life is just an endless chain of choices. Some choices insignificant and some are life changing. Once you have made a choice that completely turns your life around you will understand the power of this. If you want to change your life, you sometimes have to be bold enough to walk into unknown territory.
Be the best version of you that you can be. It is better to be an original you, than a cheap copy of someone else. If you want others to notice and respect you, you must be true to your self. If you're just another copycat people will see it. Be honest and let people know how you really feel about things.
Don't spend much time regretting the choices you have made in the past. By making bad choices you have gained valuable experience that allows you to make better choices in the present. You can't change the past. but you can change the future. Everything you do today, every seed you plant, will determine how your life will be like tomorrow."
Live your life with no regrets! ENJOY life. Don't be a stick in the mud. I met someone recently that was so consumed with their career, they put off love and SEX until they were 42! What if this was your last day on Earth? Tell those you love just how much they mean to you. Don't sweat the small stuff! Don't take life for granted. This IS NOT a dress rehearsal.

Wow Derrick, this is QUITE a reminder for us all. Live life TODAY, and don't wait for tomorrow. Thank you for reminding us about this important lesson!
