A few months ago my partner and I were in Puerto Vallarta and they recently opened a water park there where you can go swimming with dolphins. It is something I had always wanted to do and it was an amazing experience! 

Now I know a lot of people are against zoo's and against these types of programs - some people believe animals should not be treated this way, etc. - I truly believe, at least in this case, it was not an abusive enviorment for the dolphins. In fact, there were only 3 time slots per day to swim with dolphins and only 12 people allowed per session.The rest of the day these dolphins were allowed  to swim free.

And I must say that it was a very controlled situation with the utmost respect for the dolphins. We were not allowed to touch their faces and were strictly instructed on when and how to touch the dolphins. It was not like a petting zoo! It was treated as more of an honor, to be in their presence. At any rate, I felt it was an amazing experience to be able to get this close to these beautiful creatures!
