Life By Design Happiness The Secret
Richard Carlson published DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. In the book, he spoke of how we react to actions in our lives. Bad news; a difficult person; a disappointment. Most times, we overreact, blow things out of proportion and end up wasting energies. To create positive change, you have to feel it. The Secret reminds us to feel the emotion and don’t dwell on the negative.
Many people try to manifest their desires in their outer worlds by doing something different in the outer world. Perhaps they take a new class, change relationships, get a new job, or start a new hobby. While all of these things may enrich and shift your outer world for a short time, you will find that sooner or later the old outer pattern that you have been trying to escape has come back to visit you. The trouble is that making these outer changes does not necessarily shift your inner state of being or awareness. People try to escape from their past relationships, only to find the same issues showing up with the new ones. The essential key to truly shape-shifting your outer reality, is through changing your inner world.
What is being manifested in the outer world is ALWAYS an exact mirror of what is occurring inside your mind-body at any given time. You can actually get a reading on the health of your inner realms by observing what you are manifesting in your outer world. In fact, the outer is just a pure reflection of your inner state of awareness, and how connected you are with your Divine nature. The more aware and centered you are on the inner, the more peace and success you’ll see effortlessly manifest in the outer.
“Your outer circumstances are the mirror of your inner world. Change your inner world, and you change your outer world.” ~ Remez Sasson

Jeff Maziarek does a great job on his PonderCentral blog, compiling and sharing enlightening words of wisdom from famous writers. Jeff is actually away right now in Greece, writing his second book. Recently, he ran this entry on his blog and I wanted to share it…
“Those who view money as an incidental benefit of work they enjoy for its own sake seem to be the most satisfied with their lives. As yourself this: ‘If I had enough money to live on for the rest of my life, what would I do with my time?’ When you have the answer, find work in that area if you can. If you became wealthy and would nevertheless spend some of your time doing just what you now do for a living, you are fortunate indeed.
Every kind of work that provides a service has innate meaning. It doesn’t have to make you famous, or dispense charity, or be connected directly to healing or spiritual teaching. If you provide a helping hand, whether behind the counter of a grocery store, building automobiles, cleaning someone’s home, doing market research, mowing lawns, working in sales, or practicing law, your work, and the relationships you develop with the people you meet through it, can shed light and provide a vehicle of transformation.”
Dan Millman, in “Everyday Enlightenment”
I recently signed up for a newsletter from Enlightened Beings. It is ran by Margot Zaher and Jafree Ozwald.
Margot is a very powerful and highly intelligent being who can teach you exactly HOW you can manifest your life’s dream. She is a manifesting coach! Jaffe has been in touch with the Universe his whole life! He has traveled the world learning the secrets to the Universe. “There is an eternal reservoir of energy available to you!” – he says. And his products take you beyond what THE SECRET tells us, and really show you what you need to do, to truly tap into the laws of attraction and manifest the life you want.
When I first discovered THE SECRET last summer, I understood the principles but didn’t fully grasp one important step. The “feeling” portion. You have to feel the experience of already having what it is you really want.
In a recent newsletter from Margot and Jaffe, they explained the key is raising your LEVEL OF PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS. You really have to vibrate a feeling. You have to have the feeling of what you want, you already have. You really have to focus on visualizing that what you want to manifest has already occured. – If you want to get out of debt, you can’t focus on the debt! Focus on money already in your checking account!
They have some amazing products and if you sign up for their free newsletter, you get inspirational and motivational emails full of useful tips! – If you are into THE SECRET – you will LOVE THESE PRODUCTS!

“THE WORK OF YOUR LIFE IS TO DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE
and get on with the business of living it out!”
I am a huge fan of Oprahs. She is a leader. I think she is genuine, compassionate, I admire her generosity, her humor and her intelligence. Over the years, I have enjoyed reading her column, “What I Know For Sure.” And for years I have kept a folder where I keep inspirational and motivational clippings. The other day I was going through some old clippings and found something she wrote in 2003 that I wanted to share, and it ties in well with the previous Siegfried & Roy piece.
“PASSION. I knew the first day I arrived in Chicago to audition for a talk show, that even if I didn’t get the job, I’d find a way to live here. There was an energy, a connection, a holy vibe that said, “Yes! This is where you belong!”
“Almost 20 years after I landed here, it’s clear the universe had a bigger plan for me than I ever imagined for myself. I did not end up here by chance. When I used to live in Baltimore, I’d walk around with the song “Chicago, Chicago!” in my head. I believe we discover our destinies in the smallest ways. If you pay attention to these clues – to the times you feel the most joyous, most fully engaged, most connected with yourself and others – you’ll always be guided to the next place.”
“I know for sure that every person in the world has a purpose for being here – a calling. The work of your life is to discover that purpose and get on with the business of living it out. The only courage you need is the courage to find and follow your passion.”
“Does what you’re doing now feel right? Does it fill you up or leave you drained? Forget what everyone else wants for you. This is not your mothers or your best friends journey. Only you were there for all the significant moments that hold the clues to your calling.”
“There’s an old gospel song with a refrain I love: I’ve got fire, fire, fire shut up in my bones. We were all born with this fire, but beginning in childhood, we let others snuff it out. Passion is the log that keeps the fire of purpose blazing. Your work now is to find that fire and rekindle it – and then to let it burn!”
I wanted to share with you a story my partner, Michael wrote this week:
Siegfried & Roy A Life Journey of Fulfilling Your Dreams
& Roy. I had the honor of working for them for about
7 years, right up until Roy’s tragic accident in 2003. They were an amazing and inspiring team with a beautiful inner spirit. Roy always said to me,
“If you can dream it, you can do it!”
Their story was a rags-to-riches one, because
they chose to dream. Two teenagers from a
war-torn Germany who had a pocketful of dreams
and little else. They reached for the stars and never
set any limits on what they could achieve. They are living examples that anything is possible, if you
want it bad enough and believe in yourself. Stay focused on your dreams and don’t let others
knock you down.
Many of us had hopes and dreams when we were younger.
We had ideas of what we wanted out of life. When we were young, we could close our
eyes and anything was possible. We were full of enthusiasm! Did you ever hear a child say, “When
I grow up, I want to find a job I hate, work fifty hours a week, get out of shape, have a mediocre relationship, retire, and THEN have some fun?”
What is it you’re hoping for? What would you like to see happen in your life? There are no rules for dreaming and there are no limits. “Our souls speak to us with images,” Siegfried told me once. “Our heads speak to us with thoughts. You have to listen to these clues and follow your heart.”
Siegfried & Roy at The Mirage.” When asked, “How did he survive when doctors had no hope?” Horn smiles, “The guy upstairs wasn’t ready. I was always taught to be strong, that there was nothing I couldn’t overcome. You just have to be positive; you just have to believe.”
“Nothing is impossible,” Roy always said to me, “You must believe in yourself, believe in change, and believe in your dreams, for there is magic within all of us.”

Wake up every morning saying “YES!” Repeat it, repeat it, repeat it. Flood yourself with YES. Smile and be excited when you wake up! You will feel silly or embarassed at first, but it really helps put your vibration at a positive level. Look into the mirror and say YES!
If you’re a fan of THE SECRET and positive thinking, you know in order to manifest, we think postive, and feel like it has already happened. So if you want a new job, say YES, I LOVE MY NEW JOB! If you want more money or a raise, say YES, I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY RAISE or YES, I HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF MONEY COMING IN EVERY WEEK.
By repeating yes, it will set your mood, tone and vibration for the day!
Long before THE SECRET, Brian Tracy was a great motivator for me.
In his book GOALS – HOW TO GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT, he recommends writing goals in the present tense but including a deadline, creating awkward conceptualizations of this sort: “I earn an average of $5,000 a month by April 1.” You need to be persistent but flexible, full of dreams but also practical. Dependability is your most important trait but there are many others cited as important, key or critical: your ability to set goals and make plans, a sense of control, the practice of single handling, dedication, vision, visualization, e.g., “ability to visualize is perhaps the most important faculty that you possess.”
Brian Tracy’s colorful quips and cheerleading helps people think in big, exciting terms. In the first three chapters, he quotes or cites himself, sales trainer Tom Hopkins, Mark McCormack, Victor Frankl (founder of logotherapy), Aristotle, Stanford University, billionaire H. L. Hunt, motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, Alexander Graham Bell, Eleanor Roosevelt, Buddy Hackett, Gary Zukav, James Allen, Edward Banfield, peak performer Charles Garfield, and Peter Drucker – an eclectic mix of anecdotes and attributions. There’s lots of food for thought like, “How do you eat an elephant?” Answer: “One bite at a time.”
His conclusions are twenty-one steps, which follow directly from his chapter titles, beginning with “Unlock your potential,” “Take charge of your life,” “Create your own future,” and ending with “Unlock your inborn creativity,” “Do something every day,” and “Persist until you succeed.”
You can’t hit a target that you can’t see. The starting point of great success is when you sit down and decide exactly what you really want, in every area of your life. This book by Brian Tracy will show you how to do this better and faster than you ever dreamed possible.
According to many, it is not possible to achieve long-lasting wealth without the proper state of mind.
Your thoughts can produce a negative effect or positive effect on your life. New York Times bestseller T. Harv Eker’s “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth” has this listthat illustrates a wealthy mindset vs. a poverty mindset. His company, Peak Potentials Training says their ” Mission is to educate and inspire people to live in their Higher Self based in Courage, Purpose and Joy, versus Fear, Need and Obligation.”
Take a long, hard, honest look at the list and decide where you belong.
I think this helpful tool illuminates areas you might need to work on…
Rich people believe “I create my life.”
Poor people believe, “Life happens to me.”
Rich people think big.
Poor people think small.
Rich people focus on opportunities.
Poor people focus on obstacles.
Rich people admire other rich and successful people.
Poor people resent rich and successful people.
Rich people choose to get paid based on results.
Poor people choose to get paid based on time.
Rich people think “both.”
Poor people think “either/or.”
Rich people manage their money well.
Poor people mismanage their money well.
Rich people have their money work hard for them.
Poor people work hard for their money.
Rich people act in spite of fear.
Poor people let fear stop them.
Rich people constantly learn and grow.
Poor people think they already know.
Though everyone may not agree with every idea, it is food for thought.
Wouldn’t you love to have a simple plan for creating whatever you want in life?
Being human, we tend to make everything more complicated than it needs to be.
But changing your life does not have to be difficult. In fact, it is very easy.
There are four simple core principles at the heart of the creation process.
STEP ONE: KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
Yes, it seems so obvious, doesn’t it?
You must know what you want in order to get what you want. Yet this most basic fist step is missed by the majority of people. Daydreaming about your future will not bring you what you want. Waiting for life to work out the way you’ve always expected won’t bring you what you want. The only way to get what you want is to decide, with clarity and focus, exactly what you want to create.
Focus, focus, focus. Don’t waste your energy wishing and dreaming for a million and one things. Pick one and go with it. Just as the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so does the journey to your ideal life begin with a single goal.
STEP TWO: FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT
You must give positive focus, energy, and attention to your goal. Setting a goal and then forgetting about it will not do. You must imprint it on your conscious and subconscious mind until it becomes reality.
You must focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. Stop complaining about things that are not the way you want them to be. Instead, decide how you would like them to be and focus on that. Whenever you find yourself giving attention to some area of your life with which you are unhappy, immediately ask yourself “What do I want in this situation?” and focus on the answer.
Before you fall asleep and after you wake up, instead of worrying about your problems, imagine your goal successfully attained, and feel how you would feel if your goal was accomplished. Go to sleep with this feeling, and your subconscious mind will quickly find a way to bring it into your reality.
STEP THREE: TAKE ACTION NOW!
You must take action towards your goal. The past is gone, the future is an illusion. Making plans to take action is not action.
There is always something that you can do to propel you towards your goal. Take that step.
You must convince your subconscious mind that you are serious about accomplishing your goal, and there is nothing more convincing than taking action.
STEP FOUR: CHOOSE THE SAME THING EVERY DAY, AND NEVER GIVE UP
You must be consistent. You must, consistently, choose the same goal every day until your goal is accomplished. You cannot send out constantly changing vague wishes into the universe and expect to create results in the real world. You must decide what you want and then ask for it.
And the most important secret of all, DON’T GIVE UP UNTIL YOUR GOAL IS ACCOMPLISHED.
Wouldn’t you love to have a simple plan for creating whatever you want in life?
New Year’s Resolutions, for many, these words bring up memories of previous failed attempts at setting
and reaching goals. Setting resolutions to start the year off can be a wonderful thing. It shows your desire
to improve yourself, your life and the lives of those closest to you. But reaching goals requires planning and follow through. Understanding the reasons why most New Year’s Resolutions fail can help you work through your goals and increase your chances for success.
Goals are over-ambitious.
What type of goals do you normally set? Do you want to lose 50 pounds this year, organize your whole home, or learn a new sport? Maybe your expectations are not realistic. – Try to break down your goals into manageable chunks. For example, maybe instead of organizing your entire home, you want to set a more achievable goal of organizing one room in your home. You can set one goal per month, rather than setting a large goal for the entire year.
You are setting goals based on what you think you should want, not what you really want.
Setting goals because they work for someone else does not make them appropriate for you. Whenever you try to measure up to someone else’s way of life, you are creating goals that are not reasonable. Instead, take a look at your own life and decide what area you would like to work on, just for you. Choose this area as a place to start your self-improvement.
Goals are not specific and do not have a plan of action.
Goals, without a specific plan on achieving the goal, are simply wishes. “I wish I was more organized” will not prompt you into action. “I plan on becoming more organized this year. First, I will create a calendar to easily show all the important dates. Once I complete that, I will organize my desk at home, throwing away any papers I no longer need.” By writing your goal and the process on paper, you change from wish to goal.
This month we will remind you of the ways for you to really live your life by design.
D- Decide what it is you really want
E – Establish a plan
S – Set yourself up for success
I – Internalize your vision
G – Go beyond goals
N- Never stop designing
